There are two types of URL redirections that we support here:

• FQDN Aliases - This option is simply an automatic redirection rule that causes the client's browser to go to an alternate URL at a different site/address.


• Wayback Aliases - This option yields a new URL based the URL for a retired site, but based off the "redirect.aces.illinois.edu" site-name. This URL is then redirected directly to the corresponding URL at wayback.archive.org that corresponds to the latest version of your retired website that it has from before the site is retired/removed.
